ASUU National President Visits UNIMAID, Commissions Secretariat Perimeter Wall

The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) National President, Professor Christopher Piwuna, paid a courtesy visit to the University of Maiduguri (UNIMAID) on September 23, 2025.
During the visit, he commissioned the renovated ASUU Secretariat perimeter wall, a project undertaken by the union to enhance staff welfare and security.
The Vice-Chancellor of UNIMAID, Professor Mohammed Laminu Mele, commended ASUU for its commitment to staff welfare, particularly the renovation and construction of the ASUU Secretariat perimeter wall. He urged other unions to emulate ASUU's efforts in enhancing staff welfare and institutional development.
