The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) chapter at Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK) has awarded scholarships to 30 brilliant but financially disadvantaged students to support their academic pursuits at the institution. The beneficiaries, comprising undergraduates from various academic levels and courses, were selected based on their applications and interviews conducted by ASUU.
Speaking at the ASUU-UNIZIK conference hall, the branch Chairman, Prof. Kingsley Ubaoji, announced that each student would receive financial support amounting to N50,000. This initiative, directed by ASUU's national body, aims to alleviate the financial challenges faced by deserving students across public universities in Nigeria.
