Atiku and Obi Applaud Release of Kuriga Students, Call for National Security Overhaul

Former Vice President of Nigeria, Atiku Abubakar, and the 2023 presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, have praised the release of the abducted students from Lea Primary and Government Secondary School Kuriga in Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State. The release of the students comes after they were kidnapped on March 7 by gunmen on motorcycles.
Atiku Abubakar took to Twitter to express his elation at the news, commending all those who worked tirelessly to secure the release of the students. He emphasized the need for an overhaul of the nation's security architecture to address the various security challenges facing Nigeria.
Similarly, Peter Obi described the release of the students as comforting and urged the Federal Government to ensure the release of all Nigerians still held by kidnappers across the country.
