Bauchi lawmaker, Dabo, gives N100,000 scholarships to 10 medical students

Member Representing Toro Federal Constituency of Bauchi, Hon. Ismail Haruna Dabo has agreed to give educational sponsorship to 142 Students studying in different Universities across the country under the Haske Scholarship scheme.

The students are categorised into batches with Students of Medical Sciences being ceded under category A considering the nature of their course of study.

Reports have it that so far, Ten of the Medical Students have been fully credited with the sum of N100,000 each to enable them settle down to face their academics.

A member of the implantation committee of the scheme assured that other categories will follow very soon after the compilation and verification.

“Yesterday (Friday), the Category A Medical Students, (Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery- MBBS) of the verified beneficiaries of Haske Scholarship 2024/2025 Scheme were paid N100,000 each.”

“Find attached, the list of the first beneficiaries. The next Category will be communicated through the committee as earlier announced for their disbursement.

While reacting to the development, one of the Constituents, Ukasha Rabiu Magama wrote that, “Dear Hon. Ismail Dabo, I must commend you for your prompt response to the scholarship issue. Your actions demonstrate that you are a true democrat who pays attention to criticisms.”

“By paying N100,000 each to the first 10 Medical Students, you have shown that all the shortlisted candidates will receive their share sooner or later.
