Bauchi State Governor Assures Swift Settlement of Outstanding Students' Scholarships
He highlighted that around 30 percent of students, both within and outside the state, were yet to receive their scholarships despite the governor's approval. Comrade Tukur assured the governor of the support of all indigenous students to his administration.
Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, has given assurance that all pending scholarship benefits owed to indigenous students will be settled before the end of this month. The governor conveyed this commitment while addressing leadership and members of the National Union of Bauchi State Students (NUBASS) who visited to congratulate him on his Supreme Court victory.
Governor Mohammed, represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Barrister Ibrahim Kashim, expressed concern over the delay in disbursing scholarships, despite his approval. He pledged to direct relevant stakeholders, including the Commissioner for Education and the Treasury Office, to investigate and address the reasons behind the delays.

The governor thanked the students for their solidarity visit and assured them of his administration's continued commitment to their welfare. The NUBASS national president, Comrade Adam Muhammad Tukur, acknowledged the governor's victory and urged the state government to consider the challenges faced by affected students.
