Bayero University, Kano, Distributes Second Batch of Bicycles to Junior Staff

In a bid to alleviate transportation challenges faced by junior staff, Bayero University, Kano (BUK), has distributed a second batch of bicycles under its welfare initiative.

The ceremony, held on February 26, 2025, was led by the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Sagir Adamu Abbas, who reaffirmed the university's commitment to staff welfare .

The initiative aims to provide affordable and sustainable mobility options, enhancing staff efficiency at work. Beneficiaries expressed gratitude to the Vice-Chancellor and university management, describing the initiative as timely, given rising transportation costs.

A total of 47 bicycles were distributed in this phase, following the success of the first batch, where 100 bicycles were distributed. Professor Abbas commended the beneficiaries for fulfilling their loan repayments and announced that loan deductions for the newly distributed bicycles would commence after the Sallah festival .

 

This initiative demonstrates Bayero University's dedication to supporting its staff and promoting a sustainable work environment.
