Bayero University, Kano Shines at NUGA Zone E Preliminaries

Bayero University, Kano (BUK) has emerged as a powerhouse in university sports, showcasing exceptional talent and dedication at the Nigeria University Games Association (NUGA) Zone E Preliminaries.

Held at Aliko Dangote University of Science and Technology, Wudil, the competition saw BUK athletes qualify for 13 different sporting events.

The outstanding performance by BUK athletes is a testament to the university's commitment to sports excellence. The Director of Sports, Professor Rabi'u Mohammed, praised the athletes' discipline, teamwork, and determination, crediting their success to collective effort and preparation. The university's Vice-Chancellor, Professor Haruna Musa, provided financial and moral support, enabling the team to participate seamlessly.

The national finals, NUGA 2025 Games, are set to take place at the University of Jos, where BUK athletes will represent the university in the various qualifying sports .
