Candidates who took the 2024 JAMB UTME with relevant subject combinations and an appropriate aggregate score are eligible to apply

Benue State University Launches New Programmes for 2024/2025 Academic Session

Benue State University, Makurdi, has announced the introduction of new programmes in the Faculties of Architecture and Communication and Media Studies, effective from the 2024/2025 academic session. The National Universities Commission (NUC) has approved these programmes.

Candidates who took the 2024 JAMB UTME with relevant subject combinations and an appropriate aggregate score are eligible to apply. Those interested in these new programmes are required to change their institution preference to Benue State University at their nearest JAMB office and select their desired programme. Current applicants who have already chosen Benue State University as their first choice can also switch to these new programmes if they meet the entry requirements.

Faculty of Architecture:

- B.Sc. Architecture

- B.Sc. Interior Design

- B.Sc. Landscape Architecture

Entry Requirements: Five O'Level credits in Mathematics, English Language, Physics, and two additional subjects (Chemistry, Biology, Technical Drawing, Fine Arts, Geography, or Economics) obtained in not more than two sittings. UTME subjects: Mathematics, Physics, and one of Chemistry, Geography, Fine Arts, or Technical Drawing.

Faculty of Communication and Media Studies:

- B.Sc. Advertising

- B.Sc. Broadcasting

- B.Sc. Development Communication Studies

- B.Sc. Journalism and Media Studies

Entry Requirements: Five O'Level credits including English Language, Mathematics, Literature in English, and two other subjects, obtained in not more than two sittings. UTME subjects: English Language and any other Arts or Social Science subjects.

Candidates have until September 21, 2024, to make these changes in preparation for the admission process, which begins later in September.
