Senator MT Monguno has made a resounding commitment to Northern Borno's future by investing over 122 million naira in the education of over 450 postgraduate students.
This landmark scholarship embodies his dedication to empowering the region through education, perfectly aligning with Governor Professor Babagana Umara Zulum's transformative vision.
The Governor Zulum's bold initiatives have revolutionised Borno's education sector, with infrastructure and resources rivalling those of universities in other states. His focus on post-insurgency development has yielded a federal polytechnic, a college of Nursing, in addition to a college of freshwater and fisheries in Baga.
Senator Monguno's scholarship award is a powerful complement to Governor Zulum's efforts, supporting 109 PhD, 275 Master's, and 66 Professional master's students across Northern Borno's LGAs. This is the kind of leadership that changes lives and builds a brighter future.
Delivering his lecture as Guest Speaker, Prof. Ibrahim Umara narrates how disadvantaged the northern Borno is and how such political will will change the narrative in the Post-Insurgency recovery in line with the state government's 25 development plan and 10-year strategic plan.
