BREAKING: Veteran OSPOLY Lecturer Uncle B Laid to Rest at 76

The late veteran lecturer, Pa Adeyemi Bamikefa of the Department of Mass Communication at Osun State Polytechnic (OSPOLY), Iree, was laid to rest in a solemn ceremony. . His demise is a huge loss to the Mass Communication department, and OSPOLY at large.

BREAKING:  Veteran OSPOLY Lecturer Uncle B Laid to Rest at 76

The late veteran lecturer, Pa Adeyemi Bamikefa of the Department of Mass Communication at Osun State Polytechnic (OSPOLY), Iree, was laid to rest today  in a solemn ceremony.

Affectionately known as “Uncle B” and “Mr. Paragraph” within the department, Pa Adeyemi passed away in the early hours of June 19, 2024, at the age of 76.

A service of songs was held today at the First Baptist Church in Igbajo, Osun State, to honor Pa Bamikefa. Following the service, he was laid to rest at the church cemetery.

Reflecting on his brother’s life, Prince Adebayo Bamikefa noted, “Pa Adeyemi Bamikefa was a good man, a disciplinarian, and he was always committed to good causes. He ensured that all his children were educated and his life will remain an inspiration to us.”

Dr. Idowu Akinrosoye, Head of the Department of Mass Communication at Osun State Polytechnic, Iree, described Pa Adeyemi as an intelligent, jovial, but disciplined lecturer. “He is a man I respect. His demise is a huge loss to the Mass Communication department, and OSPOLY at large. Despite his joviality, he does not condone insolence. He was kind and friendly to all. His life inspired us and his legacy will continue to inspire us. We’ll miss him,” Akinrosoye added.

In attendance at the service of songs were OSPOLY Dean of Students’ Affairs, Dr. Tope Abiola, and Dean of the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology (FICT), Mr. Stephen F. Oladoye.
