Bayero University, Kano (BUK) has received accolades from an accreditation team for its exceptional support to physically challenged students. The team, led by Professor Tamuno Godwin Dappa from Achievers University, Owo, Ondo State, praised the university's Library, which is equipped with modern facilities to assist students with physical disabilities.
The team described BUK’s provisions as unparalleled in Nigerian universities. The accreditation team also commended the university's Philosophy Department for meeting National Universities Commission (NUC) standards and adhering to best practices in admission regulations.
In response, Vice-Chancellor Professor Sagir Adamu Abbas, represented by Deputy Vice-Chancellor for Research and Development, Professor Abdullahi Sule Kano, assured the accreditation team that BUK takes peer review seriously and remains committed to maintaining high academic standards.
