Call for Justice: Delta State Delegation Visits Ajayi Crowther University Over Student's Tragic Death
Representatives from both Warri and Uvwie kingdoms of Delta State visited Ajayi Crowther University, Oyo State, on Wednesday to address the circumstances surrounding the death of Akro Jeffery Chamuke (Alex Timileyin) and demand justice. In one of the videos, Otuedon detailed their visit to the university’s authority and their subsequent trip to the mortuary to plan their next steps.
Representatives from both Warri and Uvwie kingdoms of Delta State visited Ajayi Crowther University, Oyo State, on Wednesday to address the circumstances surrounding the death of Akro Jeffery Chamuke (Alex Timileyin) and demand justice.
This visit was prompted by the tragic demise of Akro, a second-year Mechanical Engineering student at the university. He was allegedly killed by his fellow students over a supposed phone theft. The deceased was reportedly a prince in the Uvwie and Warri kingdoms of Delta.

Yemi Otuedon, a member of the delegation, shared videos of their visit on Facebook on Wednesday. He stated that the delegation was led by the deceased’s uncle, Yemi Emiko, and Efe Ofobruku. Otuedon wrote, “A high-powered delegation from both Warri kingdom and Uvwie kingdom of Delta State, led by Prince Yemi Emiko and Honourable Efe Ofobruku, departed the state and arrived at Ajayi Crowther University, Oyo, to inquire about their son, Akro Alex Chamuke. Other members of the delegation included Alex Eyengho and Clem Onotoye. Our sole aim is justice, nothing but justice.”

Another video showed the delegates at the location where Alex was allegedly assaulted. “If you see the conditions these children are living in, they are akin to prisoners, despite the substantial fees paid to the school,” Otuedon commented.
He also mentioned their visit to the mortuary where Akro’s body was kept. They found the facility to be in a dilapidated state. He said, “Upon our arrival at the mortuary, we found no other bodies there. Only the body of our prince was present. The mortuary is not operational, and his body was swollen.”
