Chrisland University Inducts First Set of Nursing Graduates

Chrisland University, located in Owode, Abeokuta, Ogun State, recently marked a significant milestone with the induction of its inaugural set of nursing graduates. The ceremony, held at the university’s auditorium, celebrated 22 graduates who had successfully completed their professional examinations.
Outgoing Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Chinedum Babalola, expressed pride in the accomplishments of the nursing graduates, commending their dedication and academic performance. Prof. Babalola also assured parents and the general public that all programs offered by the university are fully accredited, reflecting Chrisland University's commitment to quality education.
As part of the ceremony’s activities, Engr. Umar Bindir delivered a convocation lecture titled, “Nigeria, Strategies for a National Rebirth: Special Reference to a Triple Helix Innovation.” He emphasized the importance of fostering research and transforming tertiary institutions into incubation centers that specialize in advanced research technology. Bindir explained that a "Triple Helix" model—collaborating government, academia, and industry—could drive Nigeria towards producing goods locally managed by Nigerians.
The event was graced by Prof. Is-haq Oloyede, Registrar of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), who was represented by Ms. Abiola Adekunle, Head of the Servicom/Public Relations Unit.
