Chrisland University Partners with ICSAN to Enhance Academic and Professional Development

Chrisland University has taken a significant step towards strengthening academic excellence and fostering professional growth by entering into a strategic partnership with the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators of Nigeria (ICSAN). The formal signing of the Linkage Agreement took place during an official ceremony at the Senate Chamber of the university.

The Vice-Chancellor of Chrisland University, Professor Chinedum Peace Babalola, delivered a compelling opening address, emphasizing the importance of bridging the gap between academia and professional bodies. She noted that the partnership would provide students with essential leadership and administrative skills, which are critical for career success in today’s dynamic world.

In her remarks, Mrs. Funmi Ekundayo, Chairman of the ICSAN Governing Council, assured that the collaboration would bring immense benefits to Chrisland University's students and staff. She highlighted the practical knowledge and governance expertise that ICSAN would offer, which would equip the university community with industry-relevant insights. The President of ICSAN also underscored the shared commitment to advancing governance standards and professional ethics in Nigeria.

The event concluded with the official signing of the Linkage Agreement, marking the beginning of a promising partnership aimed at enhancing learning experiences and expanding professional development opportunities for students. As part of the agreement, ICSAN will provide professional training and certification to Chrisland University’s undergraduate students in disciplines such as Law, Economics, Business Administration, Public Administration, and Accounting. Additionally, the partnership may extend to offering training and certification to staff members in areas like Corporate Governance, Corporate Secretaryship, and Corporate Financial Management.

ICSAN, an international professional body with its headquarters in London, is recognized globally for its contributions to corporate governance. The institute is affiliated with the Corporate Secretaries International Association (CSIA), a Geneva-registered organization that serves as the global voice for corporate secretaries and governance professionals.
