Council of Nigerian Mining Engineers and Geoscientists (COMEG) grants full accredition to academic programme at Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA) for Five Departments in the School of Earth and Mineral Sciences.

Five Departments in the School of Earth and Mineral Sciences of the Federal University of Technology, Akure, FUTA have been granted full accreditation status effective 1st January, 2022 to December 2025 by the Council of Nigerian Mining Engineers and Geoscientists (COMEG).

COMEG is the regulatory body for all professionals and firms in the Geosciences, Mining Engineering and Metallurgy sectors in Nigeria.
