In a significant gesture towards educational development, Ports and Terminal Multiservices Limited (PTML) has unveiled a remarkable contribution to the Amuwo Odofin Junior High School in Mile II, Lagos State.

The initiative, which included the construction of a block of classrooms, provision of furniture, and other essential infrastructure, underscored the company's commitment to supporting education in its community.

Mr. Ascanio Russo, the Managing Director of PTML, highlighted the scope of the company's intervention in the Mile II school complex.

"Apart from the construction of a 502-meter long access road and installation of a 50kva transformer, PTML has also provided security enhancements, water facilities, and a range of furniture for students and staff across ten schools in the complex," he noted.

According to Russio, a notable feature of PTML's contribution is the construction and furnishing of a new building comprising ten classrooms equipped with modern learning facilities. These include desks, chairs, computers, and LCD televisions, aimed at providing students with an optimal learning environment conducive to their academic growth and success.

During the commissioning and handover ceremony, Mr. Jamiu Tolani Alli-Balogun, the Commissioner for Basic & Secondary Education, emphasized the importance of corporate intervention in complementing government efforts to meet the increasing demand for educational infrastructure. He expressed gratitude to PTML for its proactive approach in enhancing the welfare and educational opportunities for students in the area.
