Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University (COOU) proudly announces the recent courtesy visit of its Acting Vice Chancellor, Prof. Kate Azuka Omenugha, fnipr, to His Royal Majesty, Igwe (Pharm.) Alex Uzo Onyido, the esteemed Traditional Ruler of Ogidi Kingdom. The visit, which took place on June 8th, 2024, saw the university's top management and staff engaging in a productive and heartfelt exchange with the revered monarch.
Igwe Onyido warmly received Prof. Omenugha and her delegation, commending her for her impressive track record and leadership qualities. He highlighted her past collaboration during her tenure as Commissioner of Education and expressed strong support for her potential confirmation as the substantive Vice Chancellor. The traditional ruler praised Prof. Omenugha's dedication to the advancement of Anambra State, acknowledging Governor Prof. Charles Chukwuemeka Soludo's recognition of her hard work by entrusting her with more responsibilities.

She emphasized the importance of community support in advancing education, noting that Igwe Onyido understands that education cannot be left solely to the government.
