COOU Faculty of Physical Sciences Commends Prof. Omenugha’s Leadership Following Successful 7th International Conference
The Faculty of Physical Sciences, Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University (COOU), has expressed profound appreciation to the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Kate Azuka Omenugha, for her unwavering support and inspirational leadership, which contributed to the resounding success of the faculty’s 7th International Conference.
The Faculty of Physical Sciences, Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University (COOU), has expressed profound appreciation to the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Kate Azuka Omenugha, for her unwavering support and inspirational leadership, which contributed to the resounding success of the faculty’s 7th International Conference.

During a courtesy visit to the Vice-Chancellor’s Conference Room on October 17, 2025, the faculty delegation — led by the Dean, Professor Onyema Iloh — was received by the Vice-Chancellor alongside the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Administration), Professor Mathias Ananti, and the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academics), Professor Osita Chiaghanam. Senior lecturers, Heads of Departments, and other top university officials were also in attendance.
In his address, Professor Iloh lauded the Vice-Chancellor’s visionary leadership, describing her as the driving force behind the faculty’s growing excellence and global visibility. He noted that the success of the international conference was a testament to her guiding philosophy of the “3Vs” — Value, Viability, and Visibility — which has redefined academic culture and institutional direction across the university.

He further presented conference souvenirs and a framed portrait of Professor Omenugha as tokens of appreciation, commending her for her resilience, hospitality, and strategic guidance. According to him, her commitment to fostering innovation and collaboration has positioned COOU as a leading institution in both research and academic engagement.
In her remarks, Professor Omenugha expressed joy and admiration for the faculty’s accomplishments, describing them as one of the most functional and proactive units in the university. She emphasized that their recognition was well-earned, reflecting their tangible impact, teamwork, and dedication to scholarly excellence.
Reaffirming the centrality of the 3Vs in her administration’s philosophy, the Vice-Chancellor encouraged the faculty to continue upholding these principles as they chart new academic frontiers. She assured them of the university’s continuous support in sustaining programmes and initiatives that advance COOU’s visibility, value, and viability on the global academic stage.
