A senior librarian at Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University, Ndidi Grace Nwankwo, has been elected Chairperson of the Nigerian Library Association, Anambra State Chapter, marking a notable leadership milestone within the state’s library and information science community.

Nwankwo, who serves at the university’s Igbariam Campus and currently heads the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences Library, was widely recognised for her professional track record and sustained contributions to academic librarianship. Her emergence is expected to strengthen institutional visibility for the university within national and international library networks.

She is an active member of several professional bodies, including the Librarians Registration Council of Nigeria, the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions, the African Library and Information Associations and Institutions, the Association of Women Librarians of Nigeria, and the Medical Library Association—affiliations that underscore her alignment with global best practices and continuous professional development.
