Corps Members Urged to Maximize Service Year by Learning Digital Skills

Corps members of the 2023 batch 'B' stream I have been told to maximize their service year by learning digital skills and optimize the use of the Internet.

Speaking during the 'Mind-the-Gap' programme at the NYSC Lagos Orientation Camp in Iyana-Ipaja , Femi Ilori, official of the Mind-the-Gap project said, acquisition of digital skills in the 21st century will improve the professional and business chances of corps members, even after service year. 

Myschoolnews reports he emphasized the need for corps members to have a professional presence online to boost their employability chances.

He said that contrary to what many youths think, today, the digital space goes beyond WhatsApp and Instagram.

He highlighted the need for corps members to belong to the social media platform, LinkedIn and optimize their page to attract potential employers.

Meanwhile, in the debate competition organized for the corps members, as part of the programme, Platoon 3 emerged winner after a keenly contested debate among representatives from the 10 platoons in camp.

Platoons 2 and 10 came second and third position respectively.
