FULOKOJA Course 01 PhD Students of Leadership & Strategic Studies Celebrate End of Coursework at Get-together
The Course 01 Ph.D. Students of Leadership and Strategic Studies of the Federal University Lokoja (Lokoja Campus), gathered at the Senior Staff Club of the University to treat themselves to a memorable dinner to mark the end of the first phase of their programme (coursework), praying for a hitch-free research work phase.
Addressing the gathering during the get-together, the class governor, Mr. Ayuba Adinoyi Yahaya, noted that the purpose of the event was to appreciate God for the journey so far, and equally to celebrate the appointment of one of the class members, Mrs Florence G. Alabi, as the pioneer Bursar of the newly established Kogi State University, Kabba (KSUK) by the State Government.
The class used the auspicious occasion to express appreciation to the Department of Political Science, formerly the host Department of the programme, through the former programme coordinator, Dr. Philip T. Vande, for a student-friendly facilitation approach. Similarly, the class commended the efforts of the current programme coordinator, Dr. Fidelis Achoba of the Department of History and International Studies, for a job well done.
The goodwill messages of the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Olayemi Akinwumi; the Provost of the College of Postgraduate Studies, Prof. Gbenga S. Ibileye; and that of the Director, Institute of Governance and Development Studies, Prof. Matthew Ola-Rotimi Ajayi were delivered by the Deputy Director of the Institute, Dr. Tosin Olagunju.
