Covenant University Graduates Shine at McKinsey's Young Leaders Programme Session
Covenant University hosted an information session by McKinsey & Company’s Young Leaders Programme, featuring successful alumni who have excelled at the consulting firm.

Covenant University’s Centre for Research, Innovation, and Discovery (CUCRID) Auditorium recently hosted an exciting information session by McKinsey & Company’s Young Leaders Programme. The event highlighted the achievements of Covenant University’s distinguished graduates who have excelled at the renowned consulting firm.

Notable Covenant University alumni in attendance included Setemi Jagun, an Engineering graduate and Young Leaders Programme Fellow; Ejiro Maroh, an Engineering graduate, Harvard Business School MBA candidate, and Associate at McKinsey Lagos; Hadizat Gbadamosi, an Engineering graduate and Oxford Business School MBA graduate, also an Associate at McKinsey Lagos; Roselyn Affah-John, Professional Development Coordinator at McKinsey Lagos; and Olusegun Osoneye, Senior Recruiter at McKinsey Lagos.
Dr. Isaac Akinwumi, Director of the International Office and Linkages at Covenant University, inaugurated the session with inspiring remarks. He emphasized the career impact of the Young Leaders Programme and urged final-year and penultimate students to leverage this opportunity. Dr. Akinwumi praised the high calibre of Covenant University graduates and their significant contributions across various industries.

Olusegun Osoneye outlined McKinsey’s mission to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the firm’s operations and the opportunities available. He expressed enthusiasm for welcoming Covenant University students into the McKinsey family.
Each McKinsey team member shared their personal journeys, detailing their paths to the firm and their experiences since joining. The alumni expressed gratitude to Covenant University for providing a solid academic and spiritual foundation, as well as valuable industry exposure.
The session underscored the benefits of the Young Leaders Programme for Covenant University graduates, including professional development, diverse experience, career advancement, networking opportunities, and a supportive work environment.
In his closing remarks, Dr. Akinwumi thanked the Covenant University alumni for paving the way and making the university proud. He expressed gratitude to the McKinsey team and the university management for their support and encouraged students to apply the knowledge gained to their future careers.
