Cult Members Declared Wanted for Final Year NDU Student Murder
Authorities have launched a vigorous manhunt for the community youths and alleged cult members responsible for the brutal murder of Francis Paleowei, a final-year student at Niger Delta University (NDU) in Amassoma, Bayelsa State. Two individuals, known as “Okodi” and “Walaka,” have emerged as the prime suspects. These cult members have a history of intimidating, extorting, and harassing students.
Authorities have launched a vigorous manhunt for the community youths and alleged cult members responsible for the brutal murder of Francis Paleowei, a final-year student at Niger Delta University (NDU) in Amassoma, Bayelsa State.
According to reports, Paleowei was fatally beaten by these individuals for refusing to pay their demand of N150 at a social spot known as “Sand Dump” along the riverbank where students often gather. The victim's rejection of their extortion demands led to a violent altercation, resulting in his untimely death.

Investigations have revealed that the assailants are members of the Greenlander cult group. Two individuals, known as “Okodi” and “Walaka,” have emerged as the prime suspects. These cult members have a history of intimidating, extorting, and harassing students. Their influence within the community, coupled with support from certain vigilante members, allowed them to carry out their violent activities unchecked.

The Bayelsa State Police Force has declared Okodi and Walaka wanted in connection with Mr.Paleowei's murder.They are urging members of the student community and the entire Amassoma community to cooperate with authorities and report any information regarding the whereabouts of the suspects.
The police are determined to apprehend the suspects and ensure justice is served for Mr.Paleowei's family and the NDU community.
