Dangote Cement Empowers Lagos Schools with Solar Infrastructure in CSR Initiative
These projects are expected to benefit over 2,500 pupils and include the installation of a 5KVA solar power source to power the ICT centers at Kuramo Junior College, Victoria Island; Victoria Island Senior School, Victoria Island; and Girls' Senior Secondary School, Obalende, Lagos.
Dangote Cement Plc, as part of its educational support program under its Corporate Social Responsibility, has handed over infrastructure to several schools in the Lagos Island area of Lagos State.
These projects are expected to benefit over 2,500 pupils and include the installation of a 5KVA solar power source to power the ICT centers at Kuramo Junior College, Victoria Island; Victoria Island Senior School, Victoria Island; and Girls' Senior Secondary School, Obalende, Lagos. Additionally, the company has rehabilitated and equipped the school library of Girls' Junior Secondary School, Obalende, with furniture.

The staff room of Kuramo Senior College, Victoria Island, was also renovated and equipped with furniture and bookshelves.Speaking at the unveiling of these projects, the Group Managing Director of Dangote Cement, Mr. Arvind Pathak, highlighted that these interventions are part of the company's Social Investment Program, designed to contribute to society's well-being in areas such as education, health, economic empowerment, and infrastructural development.
