DELSU Vice Chancellor Urges Students to Avoid Violence Amid Hunger Protest

As the highly anticipated hunger protest gains traction, Prof. Jacob Oboreh, Vice Chancellor of Delta State University of Science and Technology, Ozoro, has issued a stern warning to students to avoid involvement in violence.

During an interactive session held in the university's 1,200-capacity auditorium on Friday, Oboreh advised students to “stay away from any violence-related activities.” He specifically cautioned them to “be wary of any planned protest across the country.”

Expressing concern over the potential impact on students, whom he referred to as his “children,” Oboreh noted that “any misfortune that befalls students” would be deeply felt by the university authorities. He emphasized the institution's commitment to accountability to every legitimate student and urged them to adhere to a path of non-violence.
