Dr. Augustina Godwin, the Honorable Commissioner of Education, attended the 15th Matriculation Ceremony of new students at Taraba State University. The event, held on August 23, 2024, also saw the presence of the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Education, Alh Idris A. Goje, and the Secretary of the Ministry, Mr. Abel Bako Joachim.

Vice Chancellor Prof. Sunday Paul Bako officially opened the ceremony, welcoming the new students and offering congratulations as they embarked on their academic journey. He encouraged students to utilize the university’s state-of-the-art facilities for their academic and personal development. Prof. Bako highlighted recent achievements under the leadership of the Governor of Taraba State, Dr. Agbu Kefas, including the accreditation of 53 academic programs, professional accreditation of 6 programs, hostel renovations, a 50% reduction in school fees, the establishment of two new faculties, and the installation of solar street lights.
