The Federal Government has officially appointed Dr. Ikrama Hassan as the Acting Chief Medical Director (CMD) of the newly established Federal University of Lafia Teaching Hospital (FULTH) in Nasarawa State. The announcement was made during a brief ceremony held on Friday in Abuja, where Mr. Hassan received his appointment letter.

With this appointment, Dr. Hassan becomes the pioneer CMD of the Lafia-based Teaching Hospital, marking a new chapter in its operations. Prior to this role, Dr. Hassan served as the Chief Medical Director of the state-owned Dalhatu Araf Specialist Hospital in Lafia. His previous position came to an end when the hospital was taken over and converted into the Teaching Hospital following a request by the State Government.
