FUTA Alumnus Adeyemo Adeola, A Journey Beyond Academic Excellence

Adeyemo Adeola Samuel, a recent graduate of Industrial Mathematics from the Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA), has shared an inspiring story of resilience, academic excellence, and transformational leadership.
Scoring 281 in JAMB and excelling in Post-UTME, Adeyemo secured admission into FUTA, initially focusing solely on academics. However, a broader understanding of education's purpose in his second year motivated him to combine academic success with personal growth and leadership development.
During his time at FUTA, Adeyemo held key leadership positions, including Welfare Director for the Student Union, Southwest Zonal Coordinator of the Nigerian Association of Mathematics Students, and Electoral Chairman for NAMSS. His commitment to service also extended to volunteering roles with Junior Achievement Nigeria and Tech4Dev, among others.
Adeyemo’s efforts were recognized with numerous scholarships, including the HillCity Foundation Scholarship and FUTA Management Scholarship, and awards such as Most Outstanding Student Leader (2024) and Humanitarian of the Year (2023).
Post-COVID-19, he founded the JOMO Action Group, positively impacting over 6,000 students through academic support, entrepreneurship training, and financial aid.
An affiliate of global organizations like ForbesBLK and Data Science Nigeria, Adeyemo envisions leveraging his skills and leadership experience to drive impactful change. He attributes his success to God and a strong support system.
