In a recent announcement, the Ebonyi State University (EBSU) Management has issued a directive concerning the registration of GST (General Studies) courses and Computer-Based Test (CBT) examinations. Here are the key points:

1. GST Course Registration for 100 Level Students: For the 2023/2024 session, all 100 level students are required to register the following GST courses:

   - First Semester:

     - GST 111 - Communication in English = 2 units

     - EBSU-GST 105 – Introduction to Igbo Language and Culture I = 1 unit

   - Second Semester:

     - GST 112 - Nigerian Peoples and Culture = 2 units

     - EBSU-GST 108 – Introduction to Igbo Language and Culture II = 1 unit

2. Requirement for GST CBT Examinations: No student, regardless of level, will be permitted to write GST CBT examinations without completing the payment of school fees and online registration for GST courses. This includes students who are rewriting GST courses.

3. Rewriting of Failed GST Courses: Students who have previously failed GST courses, including GST 101, 102, 103, 105, 104, 106, 107, 108, or GST 222, are required to rewrite and pass these courses. It's important to note that EBSU-GST 105 or 108 is distinct from GST 105 or 108.
