The graduating cohort comprised 693 undergraduate and 157 postgraduate students, with 72 undergraduates earning first-class honours.
The ceremony attracted top government officials and stakeholders, including the Executive Governor of Edo State, Monday Okpebholo, who was represented by Philip Afaha. The Pro-Chancellor, Olusegun Akinyinka, formally declared the ceremony open.
In his remarks, Prof. Akinyinka commended the state government for its sustained support, noting that the achievements recorded by the institution reflect deliberate investment in quality education. He congratulated the graduates, describing the convocation as a celebration of resilience, discipline, and the successful pursuit of academic goals.
The Vice-Chancellor, Victor O. Adetimirin, also acknowledged the role of the state government in fostering a conducive academic environment, expressing confidence in the capacity of the graduates to make meaningful contributions to society.
Highlighting academic excellence, Daniel Ranti Adio of the Department of Civil Engineering emerged as the overall best graduating student with a cumulative grade point average of 4.94, earning a cash prize of ₦1 million.

The convocation ceremony was attended by traditional rulers, parents, faculty members, and students, underscoring its importance as a key institutional event celebrating academic achievement and progression.
