Edo State University Partners with Global Institutions to Secure 5 Million NOK Research Grant
Edo State University, Iyamho, in partnership with the University of Oslo (Norway), Nagoya University (Japan), and Dongguk University (South Korea), has been awarded a prestigious 5 million NOK (Norwegian Krone) research grant by the Research Council of Norway under the INTPART Programme (Grant No. 359679).

The funding will support the Life on Metal Surfaces (LIMES) Project, an international, interdisciplinary research initiative examining how cells and bacteria interact with metal surfaces. The project brings together leading experts in biomaterials, clinical dentistry, microbiology, biotechnology, materials science, and biomedical innovation.

Researchers anticipate that the LIMES Project will generate significant insights with practical applications across healthcare, biotechnology, the food industry, and sustainable development. The initiative will also provide training opportunities for emerging scientists, fostering the next generation of research talent.
