Elizade University Founder, Michael Ade.Ojo, Invests N45bn in Educational Excellence
Michael Ade.Ojo, founder of Elizade University in Ilara-Mokin, Ondo, has invested N45bn in the institution, celebrating its 12th year.
Founder of Elizade University, Mr. Michael Ade.Ojo, has revealed that he has invested N45bn into the institution, which is celebrating its 12th year. The university aims to be globally competitive, producing entrepreneurial, innovative, and ethical graduates.
In a statement by Mr. Stephen Ogodo, Executive Special Duties, marking Ade.Ojo’s 86th birthday, it was highlighted that Ade.Ojo has consistently funded the university’s infrastructural development. "Funding is a major challenge for Nigerian universities. However, Mr. Michael Ade.Ojo has kept his promise of nurturing Elizade University by providing substantial financial support. His investment of over N45bn has significantly impacted the university's growth and the broader community," Ogodo stated.
Elizade University, licensed by the Federal Government on February 28, 2012, welcomed its first students on January 6, 2013. The university follows a strategic developmental agenda inspired by Ade.Ojo’s vision, focusing on high-quality faculty and state-of-the-art infrastructure to drive academic excellence.

Ogodo also acknowledged Ade.Ojo's extensive philanthropic efforts, especially towards the underprivileged and senior citizens. At 86, Ade.Ojo's contributions span multiple sectors through his conglomerate, which includes Toyota Nigeria Limited, Elizade JAC Autoland, Mikeade Property Development Company Ltd, and more. His legacy projects also feature a motor vehicle assembly plant in Lagos and Smokin Hills Golf Course in Ilara-Mokin.
"Chief Michael Ade.Ojo’s commitment to education and business excellence makes him a living legend. His employees celebrate him as a mentor and a father figure," Ogodo added.
