The Honourable Member representing Jere Federal Constituency, Engr. Satomi Ahmad FNSE, actively participated in the North-East Students Summit for Peace, organized by the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), North-East Zone.

The summit, which brought together hundreds of students, union leaders, and stakeholders from across the six states of the North-East, was held with the purpose of promoting unity, peaceful coexistence, and purposeful engagement among Nigerian students, especially within a region that has endured the impact of insecurity, social unrest, and educational disruption over the years.

In his keynote address, Engr. Satomi Ahmad spoke extensively on the dual importance of academic commitment and civic participation. He encouraged students to remain focused on their studies, describing education as the most powerful tool in shaping the future of any individual or society.

“Peace and unity must begin in our lecture halls and campuses,” he said. “But it cannot thrive without discipline, education, and responsible engagement. Students must rise as ambassadors of peace and drivers of meaningful change in their communities.”
