ESCET and Nsukka Youth Association Discuss Partnership to Enhance Youth Engagement and Educational Opportunities

Surveyor Tsegban Moses Terdue was received by the Provost of Enugu State College of Education Technical (ESCET), Dr. Mrs. Stella Chinwendu Ekwueme, as part of ongoing discussions to foster a partnership aimed at establishing a bi-mutual relationship between the college and Nsukka Youth Association.

Surveyor Tsegban Moses Terdue was received by the Provost of Enugu State College of Education Technical (ESCET), Dr. Mrs. Stella Chinwendu Ekwueme, as part of ongoing discussions to foster a partnership aimed at establishing a bi-mutual relationship between the college and Nsukka Youth Association. The meeting highlighted key initiatives aimed at boosting youth engagement and educational opportunities within Nsukka and beyond.

During the meeting, both parties explored a range of collaborative ideas, including the development of a template for the college's admission process. This would ensure that students who meet the college’s academic requirements are admitted seamlessly. An additional highlight of the discussion was the introduction of a scholarship program designed specifically for Nsukka youths. The initiative aims to reduce idleness among school-age youths in Nsukka while simultaneously strengthening the college's internal capacity.

Surveyor Tsegban expressed optimism about the partnership, noting that the program could onboard hundreds of students, providing them with quality education while promoting a stronger relationship between the association and ESCET. “This is in line with our vision to facilitate admissions into higher institutions for post-secondary school students. Our goal is to ensure that more students from Nsukka have access to quality education, thereby securing a brighter future for our youth,” said Tsegban.

The Provost, Dr. Mrs. Ekwueme, commended the association’s efforts and expressed the institution’s readiness to support the initiative. As talks progress, the partnership promises to create new opportunities for youth empowerment and educational development within the region.
