Exceptional African-American Student Secures $2.1 Million in Scholarships After Graduating High School with 4.20 GPA

Aniya Richardson, an 18-year-old African-American student from North Carolina, has achieved a remarkable milestone by earning 2.1 million dollars in scholarship offers from 28 universities in the United States. Aniya graduated from West Cabarrus High School with an outstanding 4.20 Cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA), showcasing her dedication to academic excellence.

Accepted into prestigious institutions such as Howard University, University of North Carolina, Clemson University, Spelman College, and Tuskegee University, Aniya is still awaiting decisions from additional colleges before making her final decision on where to pursue her higher education.

Aniya's mother, Candace Stratford, described her daughter as an exceptional individual with a track record of success since childhood. Stratford expressed pride in Aniya's achievements, emphasizing that there is virtually nothing Aniya attempts that she isn't exceptionally good at.

Apart from her academic prowess, Aniya is a self-taught musician with a passion for playing the guitar. Despite her busy schedule, she managed to maintain a balance between her musical pursuits and academic commitments. Aniya shared her musical journey, stating, "I started teaching myself guitar. I did violin my freshman year, and then I tried to learn drums this year, and I’m kind of getting the hang of it."

During her time at West Cabarrus High School, Aniya actively engaged in various extracurricular activities, including serving as a member of the school’s marching band, the National Spanish Honor Society, and the Future Business Leaders of America.

Aniya's future goal is to become a therapist specializing in counseling patients battling cancer. She aims to inspire others, especially her family members, to pursue their dreams and achieve success. Aniya expressed her desire to be a guiding example, stating, "I want to just take that pathway and have them follow in my footsteps so they could be successful as well."
