The Students Union Government (SUG) of the Federal Polytechnic Ado-Ekiti has assured students that the ongoing issue of discrepancies in school fees on the institution’s payment portal is being addressed.

In an official statement dated January 24, 2025, the SUG, led by its president, Comr. Bamigboye Oluwatosin Rotimi (P.K.A Bammy Tee), acknowledged the confusion caused by the incorrect fee amounts displayed on student portals. The union confirmed that management has been contacted and is actively working to rectify the issue to ensure students are not overcharged.
Students have been advised to verify their invoices before making payments. Those whose invoices reflect the correct amount as stated in the official circular can proceed with payment, while those noticing discrepancies are urged to hold off until further notice.
Furthermore, the SUG reassured students who may have already overpaid due to the error that their excess payments will be refunded once the portal is fully corrected. The union emphasized its commitment to ensuring fairness and accuracy in all financial transactions affecting students.
