Venite University Appoints Prof. Michael Omirin as Director of Pre-Degree & Outreach Programme

Venite University has appointed Professor Michael Sunday Omirin as the new Director of Pre-Degree & Outreach Services. The university’s Pre-Degree Centre, located on Bank Road beside Bovas Filling Station in Ado-Ekiti, is committed to providing top-tier academic support for students in pre-degree and related programs. Prof. Omirin’s appointment reflects the institution’s dedication to academic excellence and impactful education delivery.

A distinguished scholar in Tests & Measurement, Research, and Statistics, Prof. Omirin has had an illustrious academic career at Ekiti State University, Ado-Ekiti, where he progressed from Assistant Lecturer to Professor. He is a respected academic with over eighty publications and has supervised more than fifteen Ph.D. candidates. His membership in renowned professional bodies, including the Science Teachers Association of Nigeria (STAN), Mathematical Association of Nigeria (MAN), and the National Association of Educational Researchers and Evaluators (NAERE), underscores his influence in the field.

Prof. Omirin holds a Bachelor’s degree in Education (Mathematics) from Obafemi Awolowo University, a Master’s degree from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, and a Ph.D. from the University of Ado-Ekiti (now Ekiti State University). His extensive academic and administrative experience positions him as a transformative leader for the university’s Pre-Degree & Outreach Programme.
