Federal Polytechnic Damaturu Receives Yobe State Focal Person on Tertiary Education

The Federal Polytechnic Damaturu management recently welcomed Muhammad Umar Babami, the Yobe State Focal Person on Tertiary Education, on a courtesy visit. Dr. Reuben Omotayo Akinshola, Director of Affiliation, Collaboration, and External Linkages, received Babami on behalf of Rector Dr. Ibrahim Bello Bashir.
The purpose of the visit was to assess borehole functionality and distribute the book "IGNITING RESILIENCE: An Ultimate Guide Out of Your Comfort Zone" authored by Halima Abdlrauf. The book distribution is part of an initiative targeting all tertiary educational institutions in Yobe State, including the Federal Polytechnic Damaturu.
Dr. Akinshola expressed gratitude to Babami and his team, comprising representatives from the Ministry of Higher Education and Water Resources. He also sought collaboration in other areas of need, leveraging the polytechnic's Directorate of Affiliation, Collaboration, and External Linkages.
The meeting was attended by key officials, including the Registrar, Acting Bursar, Director of Works, Director Procurement, and Deputy Registrar Personnel Matters and Pension.
The visit concluded with the presentation of the book to Dr. Akinshola, symbolizing the beginning of a potential partnership between the polytechnic and the Yobe State government.
