Federal Scholarship Board Announces 2024/2025 Commonwealth Scholarship Applications

The Federal Ministry of Education, through the Federal Scholarship Board, has announced the commencement of applications for the 2024/2025 Commonwealth Scholarship and Fellowship Plan (CSFP). Nigerian students interested in pursuing Master's and PhD programs in the United Kingdom are encouraged to apply.

According to the announcement, eligible candidates for the Master's scholarship must hold a First Class or Second Class Upper Division in their first degree. For the PhD scholarship, candidates with a Second Class Lower Division will be considered. Additionally, all applicants are required to have completed their NYSC program and must possess either a discharge or exemption certificate.

Prospective applicants must have received at least two admissions from UK universities. PhD candidates are further required to include a supporting statement from one of the UK universities in their application. It is important to note that the application process is entirely free, and no fees are required.

The online application portal will open on September 10, 2024, and will close on Tuesday, October 15, 2024.
