Federal University Dutse (FUD) Announces Subject Combinations for Various Faculties
Federal University Dutse (FUD) has released the subject combinations required for admission into various programs offered by the institution.
Prospective students are urged to take note of these requirements as they prepare for the upcoming academic year.
FACULTY OF SCIENCE COURSES
Medicine and Surgery: Prospective medical students must prepare to demonstrate proficiency in English, Biology, Physics, and Chemistry.
Computer Science: Aspiring computer scientists should have a strong grasp of English, Mathematics, Physics, and one of the following: Biology, Chemistry, Agric Science, Economics, or Geography.
Biochemistry: Prospective biochemistry students will need to excel in English, Biology, Physics, and Chemistry.
Biological Sciences: This program requires proficiency in English, Biology, Chemistry, and either Physics or Mathematics.
Physics: Physics enthusiasts should demonstrate proficiency in English, Physics, Mathematics, and either Chemistry or Biology.
Mathematics: Mathematics students must excel in English, Mathematics, and any two of the following: Physics, Chemistry, Economics, Biology, and Agricultural Science.
Chemistry: Chemistry program applicants should be proficient in English, Chemistry, and two of the following: Physics, Biology, and Mathematics.
Microbiology: Aspiring microbiologists should prepare to demonstrate proficiency in English, Biology, Chemistry, and either Physics or Mathematics.
Botany: Prospective botany students should have a strong command of English, Biology, Chemistry, and any other science subject.
Zoology: Zoology program applicants will need to excel in English, Biology, and any two of the following: Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
Biotechnology: For biotechnology, proficiency in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics/Mathematics is required.
FACULTY OF ART & MANAGEMENT SCIENCES COURSES
Accountancy: Aspiring accountants should demonstrate proficiency in English, Mathematics, Economics, and any other Social Science subject.
Business Administration: Business administration students will need to excel in English, Mathematics, Economics, and any other Social Science subject.
Banking and Finance: This program requires proficiency in English, Mathematics, one Social Science subject, and any other subject.
Economics: Economics program applicants should excel in English, Mathematics, Economics, and any of the following: Government, History, Geography, Literature in English, French, CRK/IRK.
Sociology: For sociology, proficiency in English and three Social Science or Arts subjects is required.
Political Science: Political science program applicants should excel in English, Government or History, plus two other Social Science/Arts subjects.
Insurance: Aspiring insurance professionals should demonstrate proficiency in English, Mathematics, Economics, and one other subject.
Taxation: Taxation program applicants should excel in English, Mathematics, Economics, and one other subject.
Actuarial Science: Actuarial science students will need to excel in English, Mathematics, Economics, and one other subject.
Linguistics: For linguistics, proficiency in English, two relevant Arts subjects, and any other subject is required.
English Language: English language program applicants should excel in English, Literature-in-English, one other Arts subject, and another Arts or Social Science subject.
Islamic Studies: Islamic studies program applicants should excel in English, Islamic Religious Studies, plus two other Arts subjects.
Criminology and Security Studies: For criminology and security studies, proficiency in English, Economics, Government, and any one of the following is required: History, Geography, Literature in English, French, IRK, Hausa.
Library & Information Science: Library & Information Science program applicants should excel in any three subjects from art and social science subjects.
Primary Education: Primary education program applicants should excel in any three subjects from art and social science subjects.
