Federal Polytechnic Idah SUG Promotes Campus Cleanliness with Welfare Initiative
The Director of Welfare, Student Union Government (SUG) at Federal Polytechnic Idah, Comrade Haruna Ramotu Muhammed, distributed essential cleaning and maintenance supplies to hostels, encouraging students to embrace a culture of cleanliness and care.
As part of efforts to enhance hostel hygiene and promote student comfort, the Director of Welfare for the Student Union Government (SUG) at Federal Polytechnic Idah, Comrade Haruna Ramotu Muhammed, spearheaded a campus-wide cleanliness initiative. Essential items such as bulbs, lampoda, waste bins, mops, detergents, wall sockets, and gallons were distributed to hostel residents to ensure proper upkeep of shared spaces.
Addressing students during the distribution, Comrade Haruna emphasized the significance of maintaining cleanliness and protecting communal facilities. “A clean and well-maintained environment is crucial for our health and well-being,” she remarked, urging students to handle the provided items responsibly to avoid unnecessary damage.
The welfare director also announced plans to implement regular maintenance checks and organize clean-up campaigns, aiming to instill a lasting culture of hygiene and discipline. She encouraged students to promptly report any concerns about hostel conditions to ensure swift interventions.
Expressing appreciation to the institution's administration for its support, Comrade Haruna reassured students of the SUG’s commitment to improving hostel facilities and overall student welfare. “We are here to serve you, and your comfort is our priority,” she concluded.
