Federal University Wukari SUG President Meets with Muslim Students Council

The President of the Student Union Government (SUG) of Federal University Wukari, Comrade Theophilus Baji Katon, paid a courtesy visit to the Muslim Students Council on Wednesday, during their breaking of fast ceremony.

 

According to a statement released by the SUG President's Media Aide, Morell Cisse Jnr, the visit was aimed at fostering unity and promoting the welfare of students, regardless of their religious affiliations.

During the meeting, which took place around 6:30 pm, the SUG President and the President of the Wapan Students Association, joined the Muslim Students Council in breaking their fast and engaged in discussions on ways to promote the interests of students, both religiously and patriotically.

The meeting was reportedly successful, with the SUG President encouraging the Muslim students to remain steadfast in their fasting and commending their commitment to their faith.

 

The visit is seen as a positive step towards promoting interfaith harmony and cooperation among students of different religious backgrounds at Federal University Wukari.
