BUK Inducts 133 New Medical Professionals

Bayero University, Kano (BUK) has officially welcomed 133 newly qualified medical professionals into the medical and dental professions.

The induction ceremony, held on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, at the Convocation Arena, marked a significant milestone in the university's commitment to producing top-tier healthcare professionals .

During the ceremony, 118 medical doctors and 15 dentistry graduates took the oath of allegiance, administered by the Registrar of the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN), Dr. Fatima Kyari. The oath signifies their commitment to upholding the highest standards of professionalism, ethics, and patient confidentiality .

The event was attended by distinguished faculty members, medical professionals, and proud family members. The Vice-Chancellor of BUK, Professor Sagir Adamu Abbas, represented by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Management Services), Professor Aliyu Muazu, congratulated the new doctors and urged them to be exemplary ambassadors of BUK .

 

The ceremony also recognized outstanding academic performances, with Dr. Hassana Abubakar Musa emerging as the overall best MBBS graduate, and Dr. Amina Umar Giade receiving the award for the best graduating student in the Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) program .
