A first-class graduate of the Political Science Class of 2022, Aminu was widely recognized for his academic brilliance, dedication, and passion for learning.
Aminu Bashir (Merish) was an exceptional student whose outstanding achievements inspired many within the university and beyond. His dedication to excellence and commitment to scholarly pursuits made him a role model among his peers and a testament to the high standards upheld by the Department of Political Science at FUD.
The news of his passing has left the university community in shock and grief. The Department of Political Science, along with students, faculty members, and friends, have expressed their profound sadness over the loss of such a promising young scholar. Many remember him as a dedicated student whose contributions to academic discussions and engagements left a lasting impact on those who had the privilege of knowing him.
Expressing condolences, Amb. Usman Musa Tutule, a classmate from the Political Science Class of 2022, shared heartfelt words on behalf of his peers. He emphasized the deep sorrow felt by classmates and the entire university community, extending condolences to Aminu Bashir’s family, friends, and lecturers.
“Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un – ‘Indeed, we belong to Allah, and indeed to Him we shall return’ (Quran 29:57). We pray that Allah grants Aminu Bashir Merish Jannatul Firdaus as his final abode and gives his loved ones the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss,” he said.
