Federal University Gusau Staff Member Wins Prestigious Mexican Government PhD Scholarship

The Federal University Gusau (FUGUS) is proud to announce that one of its academic staff members, Mr. Uwaisu Yusuf from the Department of Chemistry, has been awarded a competitive Mexican Government scholarship to pursue a PhD in Materials and Nanoscience at the Veracruz University in Mexico.

 

Mr. Yusuf's achievement is a testament to his academic excellence, having scored 85.91% and ranking 5th on the scholarship log after a rigorous examination and interview process.

During his studies, Mr. Yusuf will work under the supervision of Dr. Enrique Delgado-Alvarado, a renowned expert in the field of Polymer and Nanotechnology at the Veracruz University, which was ranked 6th best in Mexico in 2024.

The Vice Chancellor of FUGUS, Professor M.G.
