Federal University Lokoja Vice-Chancellor Visits Central Mosque, Calls for Prayers and Honest Counsel

The Federal University Lokoja Vice-Chancellor, Professor Gbenga Solomon Ibileye, paid a visit to the University Central Mosque on Friday, joining staff, students, and other faithful for Jumu‘ah prayers, during which special thanksgiving and supplications were offered for the success of his administration.

The Federal University Lokoja Vice-Chancellor, Professor Gbenga Solomon Ibileye, paid a visit to the University Central Mosque on Friday, joining staff, students, and other faithful for Jumu‘ah prayers, during which special thanksgiving and supplications were offered for the success of his administration.

Led by the Chief Imam, Alhaji Danjuma Khalid, the congregation prayed for divine guidance, wisdom, strength, and good health for the Vice-Chancellor as he undertakes his leadership responsibilities.

Addressing the congregation, Professor Ibileye expressed gratitude to Almighty Allah for the opportunity to serve and acknowledged the warm reception he has received from the university community since assuming office. He described his appointment as a call to higher responsibility and service, emphasizing the importance of collective support.

“I need your prayers and your sincerity,” he told the worshippers. “Please, always tell me the truth. Together, with unity and transparency, we can build a stronger and greater university.” He underscored that honest and constructive feedback is vital for informed decision-making and institutional progress.
