The Federal University of Lafia (FULafia) has held its matriculation ceremony for a record-breaking 8,000 new students into its diverse undergraduate programs for the 2024/2025 academic session .

 

The event, which took place at the University's Sports Complex, Permanent Site Campus, Lafia, saw the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Shehu Abdul Rahman, reiterate the University's commitment to upholding its core values of integrity, innovation, and excellence .

Professor Abdul Rahman, represented by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Academic Affairs, Professor Aleruchi Chuku, urged the matriculating students to adhere to the University's rules and actively engage in all academic activities. He also emphasized the importance of completing the registration process promptly to formalize their enrollment.

The Vice-Chancellor restated the University's firm stance against misconduct and cultism, cautioning students against engaging in any form of anti-social behavior. He directed students to adhere to the University's dress code and conduct regulations, underscoring the repercussions of non-compliance .

 

The matriculation ceremony marked the beginning of an exciting chapter in the students' academic and personal development, with parents and guardians witnessing the start of their children's higher education endeavors .
