Federal University of Technology Babura Cancels Mid-Semester Break

The Federal University of Technology Babura has announced the cancellation of the mid-semester break scheduled for July 28 to August 3, 2025.

This decision was made by the University Senate due to the poor rate of student resumption for the second semester of the 2024/2025 academic session.

The University has also reiterated its attendance policy, which requires students to attain a minimum of 75% attendance in all registered courses to be eligible to sit for examinations. This policy will take effect from the first semester of the 2025/2026 academic session, with no exceptions.

The University Senate expressed concern over the disregard for the academic calendar and hopes that these measures will reinforce strict compliance and promote a culture of punctuality and diligence among students.
