Five Startups Qualify for Career Connect Expo Roadshow at MAAUN

BigTech Agency Limited, in partnership with the MAAUN Innovation Hub, has successfully conducted qualifying rounds for startups, selecting five promising ventures to pitch at the upcoming Career Connect Expo Roadshow. The roadshow is set for October 3, 2024.
The event, held at the School of Computing at Maryam Abacha American University of Nigeria (MAAUN), featured eight startups presenting their ideas to a panel of five judges. The five finalists advancing to the main event are: iLearn by Idris Musbahu Idris, SwiftMedix by Abdur-Razaq Odeleye, AgroZenith by Kamal Aliyu, Slay Belless by Maryam Mustapha, and Kwari 1.0 by Kassim Muhammad Atiku.
Other startups that participated in the competition included Liyafa Farms Ltd, Kaptex & More, and FoodLife SAVER.
The judging panel, composed of industry experts and IT professionals, evaluated the startups based on innovation, feasibility, market potential, and presentation skills. The judges included Musa Usman from Bridge Connect, Salma Bature and Yomi Sani from Startup Kano, Engr. Muftawu Sanusi from MAAUN, Ubaid Sulaiman, and Hayatudeen Muhammad Abdallah from MAAUN.
In their feedback, the judges praised the participants for their innovative ideas and presentation skills while advising them to focus on clarity of purpose and feasibility.
BigTech Agency CEO Ahmad Ali Koki emphasized the importance of student-led initiatives in driving economic development and encouraged attendees, particularly students, to pursue entrepreneurial goals.
