UNILORIN Leads KU8+ in MoU with RIKE-SD to Boost Education and Innovation in Kwara
The University of Ilorin, as the leading institution in the Consortium of Universities in Kwara (KU8+), has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with RIKE-SD to enhance research, innovation, and sustainable development in the region. The MoU aims to drive education and economic growth in Kwara State.
In a significant move to drive research, education, and innovation in Kwara State, the University of Ilorin, as the lead institution in the Consortium of Universities in Kwara (KU8+), has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with RIKE-SD (Research for Impact, Knowledge-Based Economy, and Sustainable Development).
The MoU signing ceremony took place on December 6, 2024, at the Committee Room of the University of Ilorin’s Vice-Chancellor’s Office.
A Strategic Partnership for Growth
Speaking at the event, Professor Wahab Olasupo Egbewole, SAN, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ilorin and Chairman of KU8+, expressed confidence that this collaboration will leverage the expertise of RIKE-SD to propel the member universities towards achieving their goals in research, education, and sustainable development.
Dr. Mustapha Ayodele Popoola, Executive Director of RIKE-SD, assured the KU8+ institutions of the organization’s full support in enhancing their initiatives.
